Job Title: Class 2B Building Inspector 📍 Location: South West London 💰 Salary: £55,000 + Local Gov perks with 20% pension, Market Supplement 🕒 Contract: Full-time, permanent A new Class 2 role to work with a friendly local authority, and they’re on the lookout for a career driven Class 2B Building Inspector. What you'll be doing: * Inspecting a wide range of building types – mainly high end domestic, with large projects such as stadiums on offer to support exposure needed to develop your portfolio – a good mix! * Checking plans and sniffing out non-compliance before it causes chaos * Advising duty holders and fellow officers * Writing up reports We’re looking for someone who’s got: * Registered Class 2B+ * Experience with inspections, plan checking, risk assessment * Solid understanding of Building Regs, Approved Docs & the Building Safety Act What’s in it for you? * A supportive, down-to-earth team who know their borough like the back of their hi-vis * Training and CPD to keep your skills sharp * Local government pension, holiday, and benefits * Dangerous structures out of hours – One week every two months, on call 🧱 Sound like your kind of job?
