Job Description

we are now recruiting an applications engineer for an international systems integration company that is ever evolving technologies. As the Applications Engineer you will work within a multi-functional team and play a key part in the sales bid process.  You will create 2D and 3D designs based on standard or existing company solutions that meet our customers requirements that are cost effective the best solution possible.    responsibilities Find intelligent solutions to meet the customers requirements  Create layout designs using 2D and 3D CAD software  Produce detailed elaboration of solution ideas developed by the project team Be actively involved in technical discussions and challenging of customer requirements where needed  Provide descriptions of the conveyed goods (size, weight, barcodes, etc.) in the companies proposal Create explanations of internal and third party logistics equipment in the companies proposal Present the layout and technical (mechatronic) solution to the customer Support the project delivery team during handover  Make comparisons and technical validation of internal and third party equipment Produce calculations, storage dimensions, cost comparisons, equipment selection etc. Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, guidelines and process instructions Create a cost calculation for mechanics and controls Required Experience as an applications engineer, proposals engineer, mechanical design, project engineer or similar within engineering or manufacturing         Experience of AutoCAD or similar CAD software   Confident managing key relationships internally and with customers         Communicative, able to work in a team, open-minded and proactive       Systematic and structured approach to work        Fluent English for technical discussions    Confident user of MS Office applications Preferred  Experience with Trimble and SketchUp 3D software          Knowledge of mechanics, automation and logistics processes        Familiar with controls and PLC engineering           Knowledge of third party equipment such as racking systems, labelling machinery, sorting systems etc Understanding of competitors solutions and characteristics
