Job Description
Job Title: Springmaker Team Leader Location: Rochdale Salary: £40,000 Hours: • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00 (with 30-minute lunch) • Friday: 07:00 – 12:00 (overtime available as needed) About Us: Our client is a leading manufacturer specialising in high-quality compression and extension springs. As experienced springmakers, they take pride in producing precision products that meet the highest standards. The Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Springmaker Team Leader to head our client’s Auto Coil Springmaking department. As a senior springmaker, you will lead the production of compression and extension springs up to 6mm and play a key role in delivering engineering solutions to customer needs using our client’s products. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the Auto Coil Springmaking section as the senior springmaker • Manufacture compression and extension springs up to 6mm, applying your springmaker expertise • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Production teams to ensure smooth workflow • Provide engineering solutions and support product development as an experienced springmaker • Participate in research, design, and process improvement activities • Communicate effectively across departments • Apply basic toolmaking skills • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards Skills & Experience: • Experience with CNC Auto Coil manufacturing as a springmaker • Knowledge of grinding processes is an advantage • Strong supervisory and leadership skills • Basic computer proficiency • Team-oriented and flexible with a willingness to learn new skills What We Offer: • Competitive salary of £40K • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (company closed over Christmas) • Annual bonus • Life cover • Social events and service awards If you’re a dedicated springmaker ready to take the next step in your career and lead a dynamic team in a growing company, apply now!
