Benefits Include Early Friday finish (Mon-Thurs: 8:30-16:30, Fri: 8:30-14:00) Pension scheme with employer match up to 6% Private medical insurance and healthcare cash plan Life insurance and 24/7 wellbeing support Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with the option to buy 5 more) What You'll Do Produce high-quality electrical and instrumentation designs across LV, ELV, and hazardous areas (ATEX/IEC 60079) Interpret and develop detailed drawings, schematics, and design documentation Carry out design calculations using tools such as AMTECH and Dialux Occasionally attend local sites for surveys and kick-off meetings Mentor junior EC&I engineers (for senior candidates) Collaborate with other engineers and contribute to HAZOPs and design reviews What Our Client Is Looking For Essential: 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification At least 3 years' experience in electrical or EC&I design Experience with hazardous area design (COMPEX 8-12 preferred) Proficiency with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills Desirable: Knowledge of G17/G35 and IEC 60079 standards Gas sector experience Commissioning or inspection background Professional registration (IEng/CEng) or working towards it This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to help shape the future of energy while building a fulfilling, flexible career.
